Rare John Mayer Limited Edition "Black 1" Stratocaster, one of only 83 John Mayer Limited Edition BLACK 1 guitars built by John Cruz of the Fender Custom Shop. John and John sure did a good job on this one. The guitar is inspired by the SRV #1 Masterbuilt but with a black finish. It's practically the same guitar. It has a round neck profile and all the other famous specs like Gold hardware, pearl buttons etc. etc.. When plugged in the tone is instant Gravity, Belief, etc. etc. 100% pure Mayer. Great guitar for SRV blues as well as sparkly clean sweet tones. This one does everythin as good as it gets. The original incase John Mayer designed case, cover and softcase are included. Also included are the letter written by John Mayer, the Certificate signed by John Cruz.
In October 2004, John Mayer visited the Fender Custom Shop and built his own Stratocaster guitar. Used on many of John’s biggest hits, the Fender Custom Shop along with John Mayer, have reproduced his Black1 Stratocaster to every detail. Limited Edition Incase gig bag and hard case included with a personally-signed letter from John. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Fender history, as well as musical history.
